Hey Mag!

As far as Dec-talk its self, at this time I don't know anything about
the latest vertions. I played around with Dec-talk about 15 years
ago. Back then it was the cream of the crop. At the time, I
reeeeally wanted it but it was waaaay out of my price range.

I hope to have a new computer and all new speech soft-ware sitting
here in front of me by late Jan-Feb. Right now, I'm reserching
different speech pacages. I haven't totaly made up my mind yet, but I
think in the end, I'll probably go with the latest update of the
Vocal-eyes package I'm using now.

Jusft as an aside, I'm going to be swiching from a Daws based system
and upgrading to windows. After almost 20 years of working with a Dos
based sysstem, I think i'm gonna have a real chalange in front of me.

But getting back to your speech question, there is lots of stuff out
there in all kinds of price ranges. I probably don't need to tell you
this but I will anyway. HAHAHa I would not at least at first, go out
and buy the system costing the money and with the most top of line
fetures. I mean depending on your needs in the end you might do that
anyway. At the same time, you just might find somthing costing half
as much that might be just what your looking for.

Good luck!!-Gary
