I was going to try and stay out of this issue, but being hyperactive as I am
I just have to sick my nose in.
I have four kids as you all know. Each one is different, Vicktor age 8
(special needs) has to be disciplined without spanking because he will then
turn and hit one of his siblings. So we have to talk to him make him
understand what he did wrong and then take something away that he likes,
like nintendo, for a day.
Then our second child Gabriel age 6, NDA but very intelligent and very
stubborn, with him you do have to end up spanking him because he will push
you until you are left with no other choice.
Then our third and only daughter Cassie (4 in April ) NDA but gifted, all
you have to do with her is tell her you are going to give her Barbies away.
Then Zachary ( age 2 w/special needs more so then Vicktor ) he is a tough
one to decipline, because he really still does not understand right from
wrong. Most of the time we redirect and that usually works, but when he
bites or gets physically aggressive towards some one else we usually put him
in a time out position, that is where I sit him on my lap, cross his legs
and then cross his arms over his chest and hold him there for a couple of
minutes.
That's that, any questions...lol
I am now officially a pro at this mother thing, can't wait for teenage
years...not !
Deborah mom of 4
