Janet and I came up with a Top Ten (or so) List (like Letterman's) of
things that "Make Us Cringe Every Time We Hear 'Em". I'll include it
for your amusement (or bemusement).

From the Home Office in Laramie, Wyoming:

Today's Top Ten List

"Things That Make Us Cringe Every Time We Hear Them"

10a. "They're married?! "

10. "Don't bother the nice man/woman"

  9. "Let me help you with that!"

  8. "Wheelchair Bound"

  7. "You Drive!?!"

  6. "...And they even have jobs!"

  5. "Those people"

  4. "How are we today?"

  3. "What would (s)he like?"

  2. "Honey"

  1. "You're so Brave."

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Right - they think we should just smile all the time! Makes me
grumpy just thinking about it. LOL

I FIND THIS AMUSING. YOU KNOW LOTS OF ooops. people
do not want to consider us sexual beings and do not
want to think of us that way and now someone does not
want to think we would want to swear occassionly to
put emphasis into our communication.
