Kat,

I understand that now especially with Bush in the White House who loves
playing war, prices are going up. But however I know for a fact, that my
nurse aides might not see even a 50 cent raise in their take home checks in
the end. If I'm expected to pay about $60 more a month, I want to see them
receive at least $1.25 more a hour because they're the actual ones doing the
labor instead of going to the bosses with the nice desk jobs. To me, this
is how our family business operates, my Dad and Mom might be the big cheeses
there, but we have to make sure that our employees are paid because if they
aren't happy or receiving an unreasonable piece of the pie, we could kiss
the business good-bye.

Thanks,
Anthony

Actually, Anthony, that's well within the 13%-22% increase in medical care
costs that have been documented in the last year or so. Although, most of
those costs have been in the pharmacuetical area, costs have been going up
in other areas, too.

Also, because government programs and insurance programs are paying less
of their shares, costs are being shifted onto the customers. I myself saw my
premiums for medical and dental insurance go up Jan. 1 and my co-pays are
higher this year. My costs for some of my prescriptions have doubled.

  Friends,

Yesterday, I received a letter from the hospital where I receive my Home
Healthcare Services from, informing me that their hourly rate is going to
go
up by $2, which will be $20 a hour. My parents have a business, so I do
understand that sometimes you do have to raise your prices to make your
ends
meet, but however the hospital just did in March and now they are again.
Actually it will have went up by $4 within 3 months. I'm wondering if
there's some law against doing this within this amount of time? I mainly
feel sorry for the people less fortunate than myself who don't have the
  income.

  Thanks,
  Anthony
