Bobby, et. al.,

My opine was not reflective of Jasper's ability to be the listmeister, but
an observation of his petulance at not being overtly asked to remain so by
the balance of the group. If my comments appeared rude, malicious, or
otherwise out-of-line, I do apologize to both Jasper and the rest of the
group.

As to the relationship between his "non-CP-ness" and his ability to manage
the list, well, there is none. In fact, there may be a bit of reverse pride
in that we are disabled, or parents of same, and he's not. I personally
think Jasper's done a fine job.

Regarding appropriateness of content, you'll find that any list subject will
undergo many metamorphoses over time, regardless of the "root" subject of
the list. Ours is an electronic community made up of individuals with many
thoughts, ideas and opinions. The only commonality is CP. I would think
that if we forced the threads to be "CP-relevant" only, the reading would
get pretty dull rather quickly. Silly threads (like the "Saul" business),
after a flurry of initial messages, seem to exhaust themselves pretty
quickly anyway, so I would say that the list is pretty much self-managed by
those who participate. I have seen, on occasion, where the topic at hand
got so far out of our universe that the participants were asked to "take it
outside" by others besides the listmeister.

Besides, that's the reason the lettering is worn off my DELETE key.

Jasper,

I beg of you to reconsider. I do not think a knowledge of CP is
particularly necessary for a owner of this list. I do not know the
technological knowledge required to be a listowner, but guess it is
considerable. Turning this
list over to just anyone(well meaning, or not) causes me concern. I see
Kyle and others have voiced their opinions, but I am very satisfied with
the job. I think
some thought should be given to establishing a "loose" consensus of what is
appropriate for the list. E.g., heated discussions of theology has proven
to be distructive in the past. Please, Jasper, reconsider!!
