Mary Katherine,

Did you talk to him about the coordination issues and why your Achilles
tendons were tight? Let us know what you find out from the MRI and if
he can give you a (relatively) definitive explanation.

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Subject: [C-PALSY] my doctor's visit

 Hello,

I had my visit at Kennedy Krieger today. I do not have CP and my x-rays
of my neck and hips were normal. I do have tight Achilles tendons, but
not tight enough to justify tendon lengthening surgery. I'm assuming
that's why I prefer to be up on my toes most of the time when I'm
sitting or standing still (he didn't say and I didn't think to ask.)

he said there is the possibility of spinal abnormalities so I need to
get an MRI next Wednesday. After that he will call me and let me know
what's going on. in the meantime, I am not supposed to do the PT
stretches, just in case there is something about my spine that's an
issue.

thanks for all your patience and feedback. If you don't mind, I will
stay on this list a little longer until I figure out what is going on.

thanks,

Mary Katherine
