Well we are making a little headway here. We were contacted by 2 people that
were able to help us and give us some VERY useful information. One lady runs
a program called CPSwatch there is a website even for it. URL for it
cpswatch.com
She has 9 kids and they took her son away from her because she refused to
apply for medicaid when he was born. While in foster care he suffered abuse
and now has CP, blind and other things. :(
She told me not to let this case worker back in the home at all unless she
gets a search warrent. Not to sign the action plan as that would make us
look guilty. To get a letter into the school saying CPS can't interview our
kids at all. What they have been doing so far is so illegal it isn't even
funny.
This lady also gave us a # to an attorney that works these kind of cases
here in Olympia and does if for little to nothing. I have a call into him
and most likely will hear from him tomorrow.
What is interesting that this lady has told me in that since President
Clinton signed a law in 1997 about Foster kids things have gotten so bad
especially if you have kids with special needs. They give $2,000 for a
special needs child placed in foster care.... since 1997 it has more then
doubled to take our special kids out of the home. Also if you adopt a
special needs hild they give you 6,000 to care for them so adoptions have
more then trippled.
Talk about scarey for us parents as alot of these kids are takin out of the
home for next to nothing but the parents don't know where to turn for help
to get them back.
I don't know how many of you watched Montel but it was on this very topic
and sounds so much like what is happening to us it isn't even funny.
Thanks for all the encourgment. I hope that you realize that we are doing
this for all our families not just our kids. I pray that none of you have to
go through this.
