Hello,

I am not sure if anyone on this list viewed the seminar webcast on HBOT last
night. If anyone did what was your opinion of it?

I came away thinking there was a very lopsided push for HBOT. I also thought
that there was very limited critical analysis especially when it came to
changes in clinical outcome measures such as functional mobility/ADL gains
(PEDI/GMFM) or improvement in functional speech (can't think of a
standardized measure) or intelligence (WAIS) or quality of life (can't think
of a standardized measure). Also there was no mention of longterm changes
either physiologically or functionally. I guess overall I was disappointed
that there was not enough of a critical analysis of HBOT it's pros and
cons....

I am not suggesting that people should not use HBOT for intervention of CP
or Autism, or TBI.....
