Thanks Mitzi.  I appreciate your support.  I'm not sure why I feel afraid:
the unknown, vulnerability, uncertain of ability to cope.  Guess I'd rather
feel safe than regret a mishap.

I was hoping Rob and others would share their knowledge and experiences.  I
need practical advice.

1)  Do the airport people know how to handle the chair?

2)  Can they be relied upon to properly dis/re-connect the wiring from the
battery?

3)  Is there anything more I need to know?

4)  Any suggestions on luggage, coping with unexpected barriers or
breakdowns, public transit?
