Well kyle, I was always tired. I did not let fatigue be the stopping factor.
I just knew there were things I could not do, but I did lots of things with
fatigue. Now as to doing something that would wipe me out for days after, I
put that in the can not do category. If you do one of those, the next day
you're unable to do something you should. There's just going to be some
times that you'll have to say "daddy just can't do that."

I hadn't thought of the "spoiling" angle.
I dunno, it's probably just a melancholy phase that raises its head every
now and again, but I can dig the "fatigue" thing. I love hanging out in the
family room, watching movies and cuddlin' with the wee ones, but unless it's
the dead of winter they want to be outside and moving.
Our little town is building a kiddie park within a hundred yards of our
front door, and I consider it a mixed blessing. It'll be great for the kids
to have a "fully equipped" place to play, but since the park will be public,
I'll need to be even more vigilant about getting out there with them to keep
an eye on the proceedings.
I don't mind that part, but the other dads in the 'hood are mostly younger
guys and all are AB. So, there's been this tendency for all the kids to
hang out in the evenings with the dads and play soccer and the like. I CAN
do it, but if I do then I'm shot for two days after--at least!
I've been thinking about the new parents (with CP) on the list, and the
folks who are also considering having children. I hate to be cold about the
issue, but it is something to consider before you have children, or at least
scope out your alternatives while they're young.
Bobby, what were your physical capabilities like when your kids were wee
ones?

brags about as if I didn't spoil him. But I still look back and am guilty

angry that I put work and my fatigue before my kids, who happen to be happy,
productive adults.
