I agree with this one!  If I hadn't quit a permanent job to go to a temporary
one as a project assistant helping an engineering department set up a tracking
system for their pilot project, I'd not be where I am today, working as a
datebase programmer for a Fortune 500 company.  Life works in strange but
wonderful ways!
