Also, do you like cats, and will your landlord allow you to have
one?  They're better than exterminators and a lot less dangerous to the
environment.  All the cats I've had have been excellent mousers.  The only
problems came when they left them at the doorstep (as a present to us) and
we had to take them to the bins.
