Hi,

Going down escalators has always been a problem for me. Going up, not so bad.
I usually ask people to help me with that. If the width is narrow and I can
easily hold onto both sides, I am usually okay going down, but the wide ones
SCARE the heck out of me and I have to ask for assistance.

Something about the width and the moving parts throw me off. However, I
haven't found it to be getting worse as I get older.
