Many people do not really understand how deadly alcohol and drug abuse
is. Being in AA, I have seen too many deaths and you begin to get the Vietnam
"thousand mile stare" after a while. The really sad fact is every out of
control drug addict or alcoholic seriously impacts the lives of 10-20 other
persons. The substance abuser deludes him/herself into thinking, "I am only
hurting myself." or "This is my life and it is no one's business." NOT!
