 i think the isrealis have the most experience with terrorism and should be
our model. we did send people over to look at their methods. know what they
said. you americans have a system that looks for weapons and we look for
terrorist. they also said our system did not make us more secure it just
bothered people.
   i'll note that the guy that killed two in the california airport a couple
months ago would have kept on shooting except he had the bad luck to start
his shooting near an el al ticket counter and an armed isrealis shot him
dead before he could continue. he had lots of ammo and several guns. i think
that was in san francisco.

I think the FAA is testing allowing pilots to carry firearms on board.
Not
sure I like that idea, but the Isrealis let their pilots do it and
they've got
armed guards on all of their flights.

Dunno about other non-US airlines.
