The site does say disabled and non-disabled dancers are in the troupe.
Perhaps the woman in the wheelchair has MS or something like that, meaning
she's disabled but still has mobility. Anyway, if she has had classical
ballet training, she could be able to lift her legs up high.

Personally speaking, I was a bit surprised but it really didn't bother me -
I was just glad to see a wheelchair in the bit anyway!

More information on the dance troupe in the Beijing closing ceremony. I
should have waited for more info before forwarding it. My abject apologies.

Dear Kendall

Thank you very much for your enquiry. There were actually only twelve
dancers from ZooNation in the ceremony. The other dancers were from the
Royal Opera House and from CandoCo. I believe the dancer in question is from
CandoCo. I am sure you will find more information on her and the rest of the
company on their website www.candoco.co.uk

I hope this helps,

Many thanks

Kate

 Kate,

I'd really appreciate more information on the dancers in the Beijing
closing ceremony, particularly the woman in the wheelchair. The diversity
that ZooNation shows is terrific!

One more question – why isn't she shown in any of the pictures on the
ZooNation website?
