I thought Door to Door was an excellent portrayal of a man with CP who is
participating in life. William H. Macy should receive and Emmy for his
portrayal of Bill Porter. He had the athetoid CP pattern down pat. Like
everyone else, I feel CP affects everyone differently, so his arm positioning
and gait may or may not be accurate. The part that bothered me was the under
the rug approach to his romantic life. According to my wife, Door to Door was
based on a writing by his female assistant entitle "10 Things I Have Learned
from Bill Porter".
