Joanne,
in days of yore, before power chairs the ADA, and curb ramps, it was thought
best to be able to walk. Walking, even with crutches, was seen as a nessicity
of life if one didn't want to end up in an institution. I think if Alex can
walk with relative ease at some point, for me it started happening at age
six, and lasted until age 35, ymmv, it's great, but yes, I do think it causes
faster deterioration. Overuse... But I'm not a doctor! this is jmnsho!
