Speaking of railings... we had 2 big steps up into the house.  I don't think
a railing was put in til after I had been in college awhile.  Fell down
those stairs once- in particular that I remember.  Hafta laugh cuz my father
was the only one home..........so he HAD to take me to ER!  Served him
right!
