things were much simpler back in the 60's, kids couldn't call others unless they were at home, and there were no nasty emails... gosh, i'll never forget the time my dad listened in on one of my phone calls, and after the call ended i got a lecture that if i went on saying stuff like i was, i wouldn't have my friend anymore! (i was jealous of something she was going to do)

Perhaps the boy's celphone will yield clues?

Kyle,

I am so sorry for Anna and her boyfriend's family.  I am so glad you
were able to trace back those awful text messages.  You may want to
alert the school as they may get involved in the discipline if
needed.  I hope everyone is coping with this tragedy (as well as can
be expected).  My prayers are with you and the families involved.
