Choking and throwing up has become more regular as I grow older. I have a
spot in the back of my throat which seems sensitive to things like
chocalate, sweets,
and hot spices. When this spot is stimulated I begin to choke. Other times
I eat too fast and the food becomes caught in the esophagus and I have to
walk around to let gravity draw the food down. It's very embarassing. I
have a friend who is my gastroenterologist and he told me to never mess
with barium x-rays since they would miss too much and I would go through
too much pain and humiliation.
I don't know what to recommend for the other end, e.g., throat. He scopes
my bottom side and gives me IV diazepam(Valium). Go see a good EENT man.
