Dear parents, caretakers, and friends,

Next Tuesday the U.S. Senate will vote on legislation making it more
difficult for children with birth-related injuries to bring lawsuits.

The bill, S. 2061, would limit the amount of damages available from a
negligent hospital, doctor, or drug manufacturer. It also reduces the
amount of time that victims and their families have to bring a lawsuit,
and makes it harder to hire experts to evaluate causes of a child's
injury. The bill only applies to cases involving obstetrics and
gynecology.

Not everyone explores legal action for possible birth-related injuries,
but if you believe this option should remain available, please point
your browser to

to learn more and to send a free email to your senators in opposition
to the bill.

Thank You,

Samantha Coulombe
