Mag,

At my new neurologist's office, they took a digital photo the first time I
saw him. It makes sense to have all the records stored electronically,
IMHO. All the information they scan or introduce via a digital photo is
probably available in electronic format anyway. In the case of the picture
at my neurologists office, it made sense to me... In case my neurological
status changes (further stroke issues), they'd be able to compare my present
appearance to that in my picture. I won't be too surprised if they plug in
an mpeg or wmv video at some point, so they can tell if my posture or
movement patterns have changed.

Any illusions I had about true privacy of my medical records were pretty
well destroyed when I found out about the Medical Information Bureau (MIB).

And we thought MIB was just a funny movie starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee
Jones....

Read: Who Has Access to My Medical Records #3 in the following link:

This link gives instructions on how to find out what information MIB has on
people.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
