Friends,

I don't know how to word this question, or even if it's logical being in
2006 and independent living is happening quite successful to the most part
(I feel). I know a guy from Ohio, he was born with cerebral palsy, and he
is saying that in Ohio he receives his services from the MRDD. I'm
basically wondering if this is normal in most states, or is this his way to
get pitty from people who don't know better?

His story is at http://hometown.aol.com/ohmrdd/index.html

If this is totally false, I feel for the state of Ohio mainly because he is
well-known in augmentative and alternative communication, where people feel
like helping him but I feel some of his story stinks.

Thanks,

Anthony
