Bobby,

I heard an interesting analysis of the Kennedy presidency the other day--by a "talking head" that made sense!  Imagine that!

At any rate, she felt that JFK's term was really no more significant than, say, Gerald Ford's.  His biggest accomplishment was the Peace Corps and that was about it.  We (our culture--certainly not me) hold him in such high regard because he was cut down at 44; frozen in time.  If he were alive today he would be 84 and have little relevance.  After all, most of the "coffee table books" on Kennedy deal with 11/22/63 to 11/24/63--not the thousand days preceding.
