Mike,

I have cerebral palsy and autism, am 26 years oild, non-verbal, and have
only communicated by keyboards since age 13.
Your son may be frustrated at being different, he may have processing
delays for spoken language, he may have expressive
aphasia in which one can understand c;early but can't produce results
because of neurological problems.  There may, indeed,
be a combination of these reasons and many possible others.  How old is he?
How does he communicate?  How does he
let you know what he wants and/or needs (if he, indeed, even does so)?
Feell free to write and tell me more and perhaps I
could be of greater assistance.
