Linda,

The explanation I gave my father on the way home last evening was that my
brother looked at me funny like behave or else, and according to me he gave
me a devilish look, which he says he didn't, and I don't know what to
believe anymore. After he gave me that look according to me, I exploded.

My brother is a neat guy, he has 3 degrees all dealing with international
affairs, he's probably going to go places in this world and improve
qualities of lives. His fiancé has her degree in elementary education, and
she definitely had to work her way through school because she's from a
family of 4, and neither of her parents have degrees themselves, so I have
to truly respect her for that. I just feel weird around them like they
don't respect me for what I am, different interests and different paths, but
deep down in my brother, I know he loves and respects me like I do myself.
It might be awesome for him traveling around the world and running into a
communication device user and informing them his brother had a role in the
research and development behind that. Another benefit is he is probably
going to open up more doors in the international stage letting us export
more assistive technology devices.

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,
I am not trained either and I am not offering a diagnosis but there
is a big difference between working relationships and personal ones.
Most problems occur with the personal. You are still not saying what
precipitated the explosion. I am gathering what happens is that you
explode and everyone is shocked and then it's over for you but others
are reeling. it's important how you feel about it after. I think you
may be able to learn to control these episodes. It is simply lack of
impulse control and many people suffer from this.
There is a diagnosis called intermittent explosive disorder. And
there is tons of information on the internet about it. My son
exploded last night after dinner. I am suggesting he see someone
about it but I doubt he'll listen.
