Betty,

I tried them years ago, but as I recall, they were open-backed sandals and
wouldn't stay on my feet when I walked.  They were comfortable, though!

Now I wear Clarks Wallabees and other Clarks shoes.  They can be a bit
expensive but worth every penny, in my humble opinion.   Another option is
to go to a specialist and have shoes custom-made; again quite expensive but
if your doctor writes a prescription for them maybe your insurance will
cover them.
