I would like to think we're all smarter than to fall for the snake oil
salesmen but I'm afraid the reality is the lack of money that keeps us from
paying for such dubious treatments rather than reason.

I ascribe the same label of "snake oil" to the posts advocating hyperbolic
treatment for CP which pop up here occasionally on this list. There is no
scientific proof that it works and any testimonials are anecdotal at best,
not real. Anytime you get a promise of a cure for CP, run for the hills
cos there ain't no such thing, at least not any that are scientifically
viable.
