I just took my son Zach to visit Edinboro College in Edinboro, PA., near
Erie, PA.

We were very impressed with it in general, and the accommodations for
students with disabilities were very impressive.

They do provide personal attendants for students who need them. They have
about 250 kids with disabilities who attend there, out of about 6700
students.

There are accessible vans that take the kids in wheelchairs to classes, to
town, anywhere they want to go.

Kids with disabilities can stay in a segregated dorm or with all of the able
bodied kids, whichever they prefer. The segregated dorm was sort of gloomy,
but they are re-doing it. They are very supportive of the kids being in the
"regular" dorms.

They are building a big new facility for working out and recreation that is
totally accessible.

It was a wonderful school.

The Admissions Office phone number is 1-888-8GO-BORO. (cute huh!)

Or the local/TTY # is 814-732-2761. The website is www.edinboro.edu.

Good luck in your search!
Robin
