Laura and I are home safe. We received devastating news last weekend that
daughter Anna's boyfriend decided to end his life by stepping in front of a
train at a local crossing. He left no note. Neither Laura nor I could get
back home, but Laura's parents were fortunately staying at our home when all
of this happened. Anna is doing as well as can be expected. The last three
weeks have been rather rough. I'm headed to a family reunion in Nashville
this weekend. Hoping that better days are ahead.
