well, deri, you are so right. i have heard that big oil buys out promising
patents that would reduce the use of oil, but, how long could this work?

Again, cheap gas is a disincentive for any innovation regarding
alternative energy sources, and the powerful oil companies have a
considereble vested interest to maintain the status quo.
