Dear Peoples,

It's getting cold in da hills, here in the bowels of rural New Brunswick,
Canada, and I've got a cold. I have Mommy to thank for that. She sneezed
near me. I'm getting her back really good, though. My little "coff" has
reaping all kinds of benefits ... of the snacks variety. If I go for the day
without eating, Mommy freaks out and thinks I'm really sickies and gives me
cooked hamburger with rice and egg. Gosh, that stuff is yums. She even
shared her stuffed peppers with me - just the stuffing, of course, not the
peppers. Peppers aren't good for dawgs!

  Here's a recipe:

Four green peppers, cut in half with all that seed stuff scraped out and
rinsed. Boil in a pot of water for 15 minutes, then arrange in a baking pan.

In another bowl, mix a box of stuffing (chicken/turkey) with chicken broth
instead of water, and the seasoning packet that comes with, and butter. You
can cheat and use canned chicken broth.

Or, you can make the broth by cutting up two chicken breasts and putting in
a pot with a cup or two of water and bring to a boil; let sit for 40 minutes
or so with the burner turned off. Toss in a boullion cube if you want.

Now, blend the cooked chicken with the stuffing mix. Fill each pepper. Bake
til heated through - maybe 15-20 minutes at 350. You can cover with foil if
you want. Top with mozarella cheese.

Okay, I'm outta here now. Off to watch Mommy bake a peach pie. Need to be in
position in case she looks at the bread maker. I like to bark at that thing.

Bye for now.

Your friend,

Mr. Jake (the cutie boy Cairn) Rockwell
