Here's where I get really sceptical about the effectiveness of peace
marches.  What peace initiatives are going to stop him from doing that -
sacrificing his own people?  He's still going to massacre the Kurds. He's
still going to browbeat the poor people into his armies.  His son is still
going to be the 'infant-terror' of the country.  None of that will go away
and still will continue if we don't do anything.  So no matter what happens,
innocent lives will be lost.  Yes, I will let the administration know of my
opposition to war with Iraq, but honestly, I don't see toppling Saddam via
war being any worse than letting him stay in office.  I'm opposed to it
because of the cost to us and our economy. I think Bush needs to focus on
the economy and other domestic matters.
