Linda, this is not a protest against hearing devices. it is a protest
against a deaf woman who has been chosen to be president of "gally"  it
isn't even that she is not a fluent signer, it has to do with her
administrative style, which has 70 percent of falculty voting no confidence
in her. it was different in 1988, back then there had never been a deaf
president, this time, I think all candidates were deaf to some degree.
