Hi everyone,

I'm forwarding on an enquiry from a friend here in Australia who has a
SCI and has had Baclofen recommended to her. Don't know what difference
there would be in experience with the pumps between CP and SCI, but I
thought that a few of you would have some info/experiences that might be
useful.

Beth the OT, do you have any useful knowledge in this area?

Replies can be send directly to Sue, or I'm happy to forward on anything
that is sent to the list.

Thanks, guys!

Rayna

Dear All,

Is there anyone out there in cyberspace who has any information about
the effectiveness of Baclofen Pumps for control of muscle spasm for
people with spinal cord injury?

Rehab. Specialists at both Royal North Shore and Canberra Hospital have
recommended one for me. However am very reticent about having invasive
surgery, and do not know anyone who has one. Would need to be convinced
that they are effective before going down that pathway.

Any thoughts on questions to ask would be welcome.

thanks in anticipation, Sue

Sue Salthouse
