The insurance companies tend to lump everyone in one bucket--if you're savvy
or ignorant about your own health needs, it matters not. You gotta go "by
the book" or you can kiss your co-pay goodbye. Heck, I would just as soon
have the darn thing biopsied now and skip the mammogram. After all, it's
right underneath the dermis--it's not like they'd have to go through a few
centimeters of tissue. It's always been my experience that when it's
suspected someone has the big "C", you don't wait even a few days to do the
testing. Sure, you might have to wait a while for the results, but they at
least do the test PDQ.

I've talked to two guys that had breast tissue "lumps" removed: my dad and
my best friend. Benign in both cases, but still, the MDs jumped on the case
like a bum on a baloney sandwich.

Hi Kyle,

I truly don't want to sound stupid - but why won't they let you go to the
radiologist? If you need it you need it. What's wrong with these people!
