Kat,

       There is but a genetic and biological component to alcoholism.
Further, there is strong evident that heavy (alocoholic) drinking in itself changes
brain chemistry.
There is a type of alcoholism that is called Male Type II which is heavily
genetic.
BTW, there is ongoing research on the effects of spirituality on the same
brain chemistry. Simply put, it is biology and environment, do I need to point
out the Bushes<grin>
