Yes I realise this

 what is the old saying

They can put man on the moon and yet  bla bla on earth.........

They can have all manner of noise cancellation headfones  for the general
population and yet 

And yet  the  speech processor can't yet noise cancel------

I'm sorry 

It just leaves me dumbfounded the paradox// priorities of importance

You  mean receivers for the general population?  Oy...

My CI speech processor acts as a digitally programmed receiver - here's more

As you can see, they receive sounds and transmit to the brain, where the
sounds are received and interpreted.
