The standers are just very bulky and hard to find boxes for and being
expensive, insured. May be worth it if you are really desperate, just get a
pix as Rifton has updated their models over the years. If a need for the
stander has been given, the schools should get you one for use in the
school. For at home, various medwaiver programs will buy them as needed
equipment, sometimes local charities will help. You can also call your
local Elks, Moose, Eagle lodge (service organizations, it may take several
tries to get someone in the know enough to help you out) and explain your
needs to them. Try calling the local UCP, not helpful here but, in some
locales they are still committed to helping people, not just collect money.
But, they may also know of a someone in your area who can help.

would shipping one cost much less than buying? maybe a local charity could
help with shipping.
