Cindy asked, "How do I get over that hurdle of feeling weird when he's just
treating me the way a man is supposed to treat a lady?"

Bobby gave some good advice. Basically if you spend enough time, eventually
you grow into accepting being treated well. I know it sounds strange, but I
think your "weird feeling" is quite common when your used to being treated
badly. I too experienced a similar feeling.

When I first my husband we were just friends. I was used to behaving a
certain way with men. I felt one of my main "functions" or roles to fill was
sexual in nature. I didn't think a man could simply enjoy or want me around
unless I was filling some purpose, playing a role.

I felt very uncomfortable when my husband and I began to date. He didn't
really "NEED" me for anything. Instead he "WANTED" me, and there is a huge
difference. It took me a long time to get used to the idea. Cindy, in time
you will grow into being comfortable being treated like a lady. In fact,
once you adjust to being treated well, you will find it hard to believe you
ever accepted any thing less! - Take Care: Denise.
