y local paratransit service that goes over county lines doubled rates for
six months for all weheelchair riders but recently retracted those rates oin
learning it was at variance with the ADA. c Click here for the storyb
printed in today's Lexington Herald_Leader:

ce.htm

Has anyone else on this list exfperienced similiar difficulties? Note well
thgat charging more for paratransit WITHIN THE COUNTY is legal , but
regional paratransit providers who face no compertition from mainline bus
routes cannot. It would be interestoing to see if other regional providers
were doubling the fare for their wheelchair patrons.
