Hi Anee,

        You are very correct to enforce the idea of finding the correct
therapist - you must be able to trust this individual and they must not make
assumptions. The first one you find may not be the right therapist and
indeed you may do better in a group setting. I have gone to therapists on
several ocassions - the first 2 where more interested in treating my abusers
than me - as they figured I was fine. And yes I am fine but this doesn't
mean I couldn't benefit from talking thru things which bother me.
