Hi,

I phoned my aunt last night with the date/time of my first appointment at
the pain clinic in Toronto. She freaked out on me, saying that even just my
staying w/ her for a few days caused her stress, and was putting her in the
beginning of an Addisons Crisis-- Addison's disease is trrouble w/ one's
adrenal (sp?) glands and central nervous system. You could look it up but
she cannot handle any stress. I NEVER WOULD HAVE GONE TO TORONTO WITHOUT HER
PERMISSION IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT SHE THOUGHT SHE COULD
HELP AND CANNOT.I DON'T WANT HER TO END UP IN THE HOSPITAL OVER ME. MY OMA
(Grandmother), SAYS TO JUST COME STAY WITH MY GRANDPARENTS, AND SHE WILL
TAKE ME TO APPTS. BUT MY GRANDPARENTS ARE OLDER/ NOT IN GOOD HEALTH EITHER.
I don't know what to think or do. I am going to investigate staying in
Ottawa for the Summer-- as I cannot get anyone at home to even give me
narcotics-- but this means a lot of money and that I would need to take a
course to stay in Residence.... I have an appt. with my on-campus GP and
pain PHYSIATRIST next week, so need to discuss all of this now. I don't want
to hurt my family.
Does anyone have any input/words of wisdom? Just when I think something good
has happpened, it comes back in my face.
Please/pray/comment as you see fit. I write this through tears. THIS IS NO
ONES FAULT, BUT STILL HURTS M0RE THAN YOU WOULD KNOW.
You could look up Addison's disease if you wanted more info on my aunts
condition. I am too sick at heart to find links.

strss and morphine.
I will go to Toronto for my braces, though, once funding goes through. The
people who run the assistive devices program to grant funding for my new
powere chair/braces are on strike.
