Yeah, I'm about to go "postal" with my HMO jerking my chain and what-not.
Guess that's why they have a P.O. Box and an "800" number---so you can't
track them down. The OTC stuff is all you have? Good Lord, man! That's
just too cruel. Pain is such a subjective thing--not something you can
easily apply metrics. The patient and doctor need to be in charge of
palliative medicine, not some administrative nitwit in a cube at the HMO.
If it gets too bad, go to one of your HMO's approved Urgent Care facilities.
They will provide at least some temporary relief.

Speaking of the "outlaws", I never knew I was so stoopid about child-rearing
(driving, potty-training, table-manners). They love their grandchildren
dearly, too bad we're raising them like Neanderthals! ;>)

no toranado, but the little rain we do get is enough for everything to
hurt. every night recently i have went to sleep late because of pain.
meanwhile all the drs. diddle around with the hmo. my personal family6 dr.
tried to prescribe a stronger than "normal" does of a medicine, was blocked
by the hmo. then he tried to prescribe hafe as trrong directing me to take
double while he took care of the hmo. they now blocked that too, so he has
refered me to a specialist in addition to the physiatrist (sp) that i am
already seeing. of course i have been weeks with nothing except over the
counter stuff for weeks waiting on all the appointments.
had the outlaws (inlaws) in for a few days. they left sunday morning to
judy's relief. i can tolorate them better than she can. you can learn a lot
from them since they always know more about anything that anyone else.
drives judy crazy.
