I can't remember the registry of these two ships, but Disney cut off its
affiliation with "The Big Red Boat" and built two ships of its own because
of issues like accessibility. The "Magic" and "Wonder" are identical
"mega-liners". I'm not in a chair (yet), but I don't recall anything that
would make any part of the ship inaccessible. In most ships there are
ledges on the stateroom doors and bulkhead hatches, but the doorways on the
ships were wide with no thresholds. I can't remember the toilet/shower
config., but I do beleive they would accomodate chairs. I DO know there
were cruise-mates who were in chairs on our cruise, and they were having the
time of their lives. I'd have to say that Disnay does the family thing ten
times better than Royal Carribean, Carnival, Holland-America or any of the
other large liners I've been on. Every port-of-call had a deepwater dock,
so you didn't have to take a tender to shore. Wherever there was a
staircase, there was a matching elevator. If you're interested, I'll get
the URL for the Disney Cruise line and you can look for yourself. Send for
the free video-tape--it gives a very accurate picture of what the trips are
like. Like I said, for a family vacation, it's the best money we ever
spent--and that includes Disney World and Land.

You mean cruise ships are really accessible??? I
always kinda figured ships weren't accessible because
they tend to be registered in some other country that
does not have the ADA.
