"Hallowed" is a Christian term that sprang up in the Middle Ages, but its
origins lie in the pagan worship cults in the British Isles (my Anthro
linguistics prof told us this in college). It has no usage in Hebrew or in
the Hebrew version of the Old Testament, per my Rabbi.
