it would be far
better for you, Kathy Jo to focus on becoming as independent as you can the
way
you are right now. If you got cured, Kathy Jo, would you know how to live on
your own? Do you know how to pay your bills, make meals, grocery shop, make
budgets? It is hard work, but it's so worthwhile!
This is what I mean Kathy Jo. You can be as independent as you want to be
only if YOU take the first steps toward being independent.

Acknowledge what you want out of life.
Setting an obtainable goal.
Accepting the realistic time it would take to get there.
Finding those who will help you achieve your goals in life and knowing how to
handle yourself if that help isn't there.

These are some goals I had since wanting to leave my mother's house. It has
been 14 years since starting out on my own. This has me thinking about a song
that's played on Star Trek: Enterprise. The song is "Where My Heart Will
Take Me" The chorus goes: "I've got faith of the heart, going where my heart
will take me. I've got faith to believe, I can do anything. I've got strength
of the soul, no one's gonna bend or break me. I can reach any star. I've got
faith, faith of the heart." The full version is played on radio stations
that play adult contemporary music. The artist is Russell Watson.
