United States crude oil production in March 2006 was 5,156,000 barrels
per day; Production for the same period last year was 5,485,000 barrels
per day; (American Petroleum Institute), a decrease of 6%.

Prices gave increased in my area, an average of 35%. I find it hard to
believe that demand has risen 29%, or more. Most people I know are
driving less and keeping their thermostats set lower, so I'd like to see
concrete evidence of an increase in demand that's driving oil prices
higher.

Here's an article from Reuters that says that oil supplies are not the
culprit in price increases.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
