Hi all!

I know I'm to a post here that is a bit outdated now. But It really
sparked my interest, so I had to jump on it.

The first thing that comes to mind as I read this is what a powfull
tool the Internet is for those of us with CP. A lot of us have a
voice now that we never had before!!

For those of you with speech issues, because of the Net and
particulary this list, you can now talk and express your sels as loud
and forceful as you want!!
Yes, I think for all of us here, net or no Net, we may never get
ourmessage out just the way we would like the first time, but the most
powerfull thing we can do for our sels at those times is to re write
it or resay it or whatever.

For me being blind as well as CP, my talking computer has opened doors
for me that I would never have thought were ever possible to open. It
means so much to me to sit here and realize that with just a few
cliks, I have access to almost every newspaper and magazine in the
world!!

In the old days when I had to have people read everything for me, even
though they always said they were reading stuff word for word, I could
always here the vyos in there voice. Or the discomfort they would
feel when they would read something to me that made them
uncomfortible. All the while, telling me that there was nothing wrong
when I would ask.

Anyway, this has turned out to be much longer then I intended, and for
those of you that have hit your delete key way before now, I don't
feel hurt or bent out of shape in anyway.

Bottom line here is that no matter how bad it all gets we all have
soooo much to apreseate and be thinkfull for dispite our abillites or
disabillites. Just think, 20 years ago, I don't think any of us could
emajine having this list.

As to my spelling, I know it needs lots of work. The reason it's so
bad, is because I've never taken the time to learn how to use the
spell checker in my mail program. When I need to write anything of
any importence, or I just want to look good HAHA I write of-line and
hide behind WP, (Word Perfect and my friendly spell checker.

Oh god! I better sign off and go to bad I'm starting to justafi my
own acctions waaaay to much! HAHAHA

See ya-Gary
